About BioPACIFIC MIP LIMS

Introduction

BioPACIFIC MIP's Laboratory Information Manangement System (LIMS) was created in order to facilitate the collection of data across BioPACIFIC MIP instruments into a singular repository.

As of December 2023, the BioPACIFIC MIP LIMS is connected to the BioPACIFIC MIP electronic laboratory notebook (ELN). You can connect experimental data from your ELN to characterization data you upload in the LIMS by simply populating Reagent and Product tables in your notebook (via the / command).

Data can be retrieved from the BioPACIFIC MIP LIMS programmatically through its API (documented via SwaggerUI and adhering to OpenAPI standards). Data can also be retrieved from the data viewer link at each instrument on the home page.

As of December 28th, 2023, only one characterization tool has a working data viewer for the new LIMS, and that's the Optics11 multi-indenter. Additional instruments will be made available in the data viewer over the coming weeks and months. Data files can be downloaded regardless of whether data can be viewed directly in the viewer.

More information about the LIMS system, such as how to prepare your experimental data for submission, can be found on the Wiki page here. (Note: the Wiki is outdated as of 12/28/2023. Please contact your project scientist for guidance)
